Bibliographic Software for Harvard Users
RefWorks is a web-based tool, licensed for all Harvard users, which allows you to create bibliographies and in-text references automatically. You may import records from HOLLIS and other catalogs, and from the MLA Bibliography and other online databases directly into RefWorks. Using the Write 'N Cite tool with word processing software, you may automatically generate parenthetical in-text references from bibliographies you have created in RefWorks. There is a useful tutorial on the log-in page.
EndNote is bibliographic software which allows you to create a database of bibiliographic records, by importing them from HOLLIS and other online catalogs, and from the MLA Bibliography and other databases. Unlike RefWorks, it is not web-based, but installed on your computer. For information on downloading, contact FAS Computing Services.
