Widener Library Stacks Access Card
Alumni/ae and some affiliates of Harvard research centers are eligible for a Widener Stacks Access Card without fee. To find out if you are eligible to receive a card, contact the Library Privileges Office at 617-495-4166.
Alumni/ae may borrow six Widener Library books per year with a Widener Library Stacks Access Card. The card is valid for 12 months from the day of the initial visit. In order to borrow additional materials, it is necessary to purchase an HCL Special Borrower Card.

- Cabot Science
- Harvard-Yenching
- Pusey
- Lamont
- Loeb Music
- Tozzer
Privileges with the Widener Stacks Access Card include:
- Borrowing (for alumni/ae only), stacks browsing, and reading room privileges in Widener Library
- Stacks browsing and reading room privileges only in Cabot Science and Lamont libraries
Application for a Stacks Access Card must be made in person at the Library Privileges Office, Widener Library, Room 130, Monday–Friday between 9:00 am–4:45 pm.
