Pay Library Fines

Patrons may pay Library Fines in person, usually via cash or check, at the Circulation desks of the individual libraries. In Widener, patrons may also pay fines using cash, check, or Crimson Cash at the Widener Billing Office, Room 130, during business hours. If library fines are not paid in person, the charges are applied automatically to the user's term bill or processed through accounts receivable. (Note: The Cabot Circulation Desk does not accept cash for payment of fines.)

Get Change

  • Cabot: There is a change machine near the main level photocopiers.
  • Fine Arts: The library does not give change and there are no change machines. However, the main floor black-and-white photocopier, which takes coins and bills, can give change.

  • Harvard-Yenching: There are no change machines in the library, but staff at the Circulation Desk may be able to make change.
